CF_MultiUpload Advanced FAQ

The following are a list of FAQs regarding CF_MultiUploadAdvanced.

  1. Are cookies required to run CF_MultiUploadAdvanced?
    Yes. Cookies are required to maintain state for the component. A message will be displayed to users who have cookies disabled prompting them to enable cookies and to reload the page.

  2. Can I upload folders using the Advanced option?
    No. At present, you can only select files using the SHIFT or CTRL keys or by making a selection using the mouse functionality. An update in the future may allow for the selection of folders also.

  3. Will the Advanced option work on browsers other than Internet Explorer?
    No. As the advanced option is achieved using an ActiveX control, the advanced functionality is only available to users of Internet Explorer on a Windows platform.

  4. I get a JS error when the component loads...
    This most likely occurs if CFDebug is turned on for the server. Disable CFDEbug and refresh the page. If you are running CFMX7 Developers Edition, the watermark anti-piracy feature Macromedia has implemented will cause the component not to function. If this happens, please upgrade to the full licensed version of CFMX7 or revert to a server with CFMX6.1

  5. What version of ColdFusion is the component available for?
    The component is compatiable with CF4.5.2, CF5.0, CFMX6.1 and CFMX7+

  6. I need to resize my images after upload or store the names in a database. Is this possible?
    Yes. Using the built in ability to perform your own after upload processing and the ability to pass your own custom attributes, you can modify the files after the upload as much as you want.

  7. I have purchased a copy of the component, I love it. Can I get more licenses cheaper?
